This takes me back! I worked for Laker on their Gatwick ticket desk and was there the day they went bankrupt. There is a fleeting shot of me in this part looking younger and thinner of course. I remember how sad we all were that this happened-best job I ever had. Happy days!
I was lucky enough to travel with Laker Airways and enjoy Laker Holidays, but in the end he took on too much, bought lots of Airbus A300′s before getting licences to fly to Europe, and this cost him dearly. Very sad, but I don’t think you can blame the other airlines totally.
